    Textile manufacturing

Current applications include bleaching of cotton used for the production of textiles or for the dyeing itself. For cotton bleaching, use is nowadays made almost exclusively of hydrogen peroxide. To prevent catalytic decomposition of the hydrogen peroxide due to traces of heavy metals dissolved in the process water, complexing agents are added. In many cases, these are products like EDTA or aminomethylene phosphonates, which do not biodegrade very easily.

Baypure® CX100 is a more environmentally friendly and more effective alternative. Particularly in water with a high calcium content, Baypure® CX100 is more effective than EDTA and aminomethylene phosphonates. These advantages are becoming increasingly more important for the textile-processing industry because in an increasing number of countries throughout the world the industry has to comply with ever stricter regulations on the effluent load.
